Our Method & Ministry is Successful
Our exclusive cognitive mentoring method helps improve a child's chances for success in life with little or no ill-effect of their unfortunate life history to impact on the rest of their lives.  Our kids have won chess tournaments (city-wide), some who were failing school all together have turned around and they were promoted with their class.  One child had never done any essay assignments during the year.  He came to us in April and in May the teachers told the parent he would not be promoted.  We were successful in persuading the school to allow him to make up the work - but they gave him only till the end of the month.  With our therapy and some motivation, that child did the rest!  One night even after we told him that it was enough - go to bed!  He insisted on finishing the last two assignments!  He was featured at a university graduation ceremony and at school - he passed!  Even the school administrators, teachers and school psychologist saw the great change the child had demonstrated since April (when he first started with our after-school initiative).  Another great success in our hands!  Our children turn their lives around because we care and we know how to help them.  We even teach parents how to help their own children.
 
Compassion House restores self-worth to each child under our care and helps them overcome any and all obstacles that are present or may occur in their lives. 

The Compassion House is a program founded by the Rev. Gilberto Rosado for 2004.  It was an evolutionary outgrowth to address the needs that he saw consistently within the population of poor families – often single parent homes.  In the process he realized that a great number of children are suffering irreparable harm due to divorce, economics, abandonment, abuse, etc.  The need for a caring yet cognitive care system is the greatest need these children have.  The Compassion House will serve the foster, adoption markets as well as those children still with a parent or in intact homes that need some intervention through an after school or day care format. 

The family unit is the basis for a child’s learning throughout life.  What is askew in the family unit will be askew in the life of that child.  It is at this basic level and during the foundational years that our intervention is most needed.  Providing it to them will intervene in the quantity of miscreants that society has to deal with in the future.  In addition, the higher quality individuals produced through our intervention will greatly enhance society and future generations. 

The greatest need in our society today is to revolutionize all levels and types of child intervention services in order to elevate their quality and impact by way of cognitive enhancement.  This enhancement is not available in schools nor inherent in most programs.  It is hardly intentioned within the structure of a family.  Yet it is the medicine necessary to divert our society from impending disaster as it relates to the generations adversely, and often, permanently damaged by the present state of affairs. The Compassion House brings to each child the whole panoramic delivery of cognitive mentoring and therapy that is our trademark.  We treat the whole child like nature intended.  The whole child must be nurtured within one social construct.  This cannot be had in school because the social contract is only academics.  The home is the perfect resource for this much needed nurturing but alas, it too is devoid of the proper understanding due to the pervasiveness of this problem for ages now.  Compassion House encompasses the child in the natural and comforting surroundings of family and home but on a foundation of cognitive skills modeling.  We have seen how our program safely takes over the nurturing process of the child and replaces their ill-models with the new one housed in Compassion House.  This transference of nurturing expectancy or dependency is essential to the remediation of compromised children.  

The Rev. Rosado envisioned a home for cognitively challenged or deprived children to come to every day, afternoon or for school recess camps and such where they would find love, modeling, nutrition, recreation, resources, conversation and social engagements within a structure of education within which they could glean some new instruction that could better equip the child for future challenges or help them through a present situation. 

Through various Education Conferences held previously on a yearly basis on the last Saturday of September and now in 2007 every trimester starting in June 30^th, 2007, Rev. Rosado is presenting his vision for the Compassion House – a home where children are taught, mentored and perfected. 

We see already how our method has helped those in serious situations heading towards social problems.  To date, the Compassion House together with our Parent to Parent Children Services department has had total success with all of our clientele – parents, teachers and other psychological experts have all seen the vast improvements in our children.          

In 2005-2006, the Rev. Rosado started work on his books that incorporate the methodology and serve as the backbone to extending his services and ministry to the masses via courses, family gatherings, individual sessions, and community based outreaches and interventions by trained and certified cognitive mentors and therapists.

Our Future:

With the help of donors, grants and other support, we would like to establish at minimum a Compassion House & Education Center in every major city and region, certify local center therapists, house parents and community educators and provide periodic conferences in mass in which Rev. Rosado will lead and instill his methodology to all program participants in each area.  The process of preparing cognitive mentor therapists is ongoing and remains the basic focus of all our endeavors.

To be the foremost educator of people in Queens, Brooklyn, NYC, The USA and then the world of the liberating wisdom of Godly counsel, the truths of the Word of God and the inherent Salvation contained therein.

As God’s professionals, our goal is to reach every person and every level of society with effective counsel that changes and otherwise impacts their lives towards God and His Salvation - Jesus Christ.

To be a family, learning from one another and teaching others those things that Jesus taught His disciples - becoming experts in many areas in order to better help those around us in need.  Ever growing, learning and expanding our knowledge base, spiritual life and geographical areas of practice that our Lord makes available to us.
